The rules
- No sales, offers or sourcing outside the features built for it. “DM me”, “PM for packs”, price talk and payment handles are removed.
- No flower, concentrate, clone or plant sales anywhere, ever.
- No doxxing, no addresses, no photos of other people without their consent, and nobody under the legal age in any photo, post or account.
- No medical claims as fact and no legal advice. Share experience as experience, and link the sourced page.
- No impersonation of breeders, labs, staff or other members.
- Be useful or be kind; ideally both. Harassment, slurs, threats and brigading lead to bans.
- Provenance claims carry a source. Fabricating evidence is a permanent ban and loses every certificate.
- Disputes about genetics go through the dispute process, not the comments.
Stay safe
- Never post anything that shows where you live or grow: addresses, street views, licence plates, or windows with a view.
- Photos are stripped of location data when you upload them, but check the background yourself.
- Certified breeders never sell by direct message. If someone does, report it.
- Follow the law where you live. If a feature isn't available in your region, please don't try to get around that.
Honest records
- Log what really happened, including the failures. A journal with a problem in it helps more people than a perfect one.
- Report hermaphrodites, pests and disease honestly. Breeders' lines are judged on real data.
- Label your opinions as opinions, and link sources for facts.
- No spam, vote rings, fake accounts or referral farming.
Reporting
Every post, comment, message, profile and record has a report button. Pick a reason and add a note if it helps. You'll be told the outcome. Urgent safety issues (minors, threats, doxxing) go to the front of the queue. Before accounts open, report anything to abuse@genetixbay.com.
What moderators can do
Depending on how serious it is, moderators can remove content, warn, mute for 1, 7 or 30 days, suspend or ban. Spam may be removed automatically; nothing else is removed by a machine without a person looking at it. Every action is recorded with its reason and shown to the member it affects.
Appeals
You can appeal any moderation action once. A different moderator, or our staff for bans, reviews it with the full context, and we aim to reply within 72 hours with the outcome and the reason. We plan to publish counts of reports, actions and reversed decisions, never names.
Groups and breeders
Group moderators can add rules for their group, but they can't relax these. Breeders also follow the breeder programme rules, which will be published before breeder registration opens.
